National Cross Country Final - Sheffield

Reading2 Congratulations to the Junior Boys' team who finished 3rd in the ESAA Cross Country Cup National Final held on 7th December. A special mention to Beau MacDonald who won the Junior Boys' race and is now the National Champion.

Well done also to the Inter Boys' team who finished a respectable 17th. 



Borough Cross Country

Reading2 Congratulations to the Boys' team who won the Borough Cross Country Championship on 13th November. This is the first time it’s changed hands (from SHSB) since 1980. Incredible performances.

Top Sporting State Schools in 2019

Reading2Congratulations to the P.E Department for making the top 10 sporting state schools in 2019 as reported in the School Sport magazine - a fantastic achievement.

Music Mark


In September, the Academy was awarded Music Mark status. Music Mark lobbies for, and champions, a government supported, high quality, music education provision for all school aged children and young people which addresses diversity, equity and inclusion at its core.

GCSE Results 2019


The Academy recorded another outstanding set of GCSE results.

In terms of the % of pupils that achieved a grade 9-4 (what used to be A*-C), this was 88% in Mathematics, 86% in English, and 82% in both Mathematics and English.
