Admissions Appeals

For appeals to the main round of admission: Year 7 September 2026

The deadline for submitting on time appeals is Monday 13th April 2026. Please use the link below for the appeal form.

Any additional supporting documentation must be submitted by Friday 8th May 2026.

The Appeal Panel is independent of the Academy Trust and will be made up of three members and an Independent Appeal Panel Clerk.

Notification of the date and time for the hearing will be sent to you, by email, ten school days before the hearing by the Independent Appeal Panel Clerk. Please note that appeals are heard via Zoom.

Appeals are scheduled to take place during week commencing 1st June 2026.

Once all appeals have been heard, decision letters will be sent within five school days wherever possible.

Appeals For Applications For In Year Admissions 

Unsuccessful applicants have the right to appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel. In such instances, parents should e-mail admissions@eastwood.southend.sch.uk

In-year appeals will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.

Applicants that are refused a place are added to a waiting list. Waiting lists close on 31st December of any given year. New waiting lists will remain open until 31st August. Waiting lists from previous years are not rolled over to the following academic year - parents are required to make a new application.
