Music Mark


In September, the Academy was awarded Music Mark status. Music Mark lobbies for, and champions, a government supported, high quality, music education provision for all school aged children and young people which addresses diversity, equity and inclusion at its core.

GCSE Results 2019


The Academy recorded another outstanding set of GCSE results.

In terms of the % of pupils that achieved a grade 9-4 (what used to be A*-C), this was 88% in Mathematics, 86% in English, and 82% in both Mathematics and English.

WWF Charity Work


Congratulations to Grace Stonestreet who successfully raised £262 for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to help tackle climate change and safeguard the world's most vulnerable species and habitats.

Duke of Edinburgh Award


Congratulations to all those involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Award 2018-19 which included 1729 hours of learning a skill; 2145 hours of physical activity; and 1885 hours of volunteering in the local community. Further, the social value of these hours was recorded as £8199.75!

English Schools National Athletics Final

Reading2 Congratulations to the Inter Girls' and Junior Boys' athletics teams who qualified for the National Final at Chelmsford on Saturday 6th July and finished 6th and 7th in the country respectively.

Thank you to all those staff and parents who supported the teams on the day.


The Eastwood Scholars Programme


  • The Eastwood Scholars Programme is an academic programme run jointly by the Academy and The Brilliant Club, an organisation which aims to widen access to university. All twelve pupils achieved a 2:1 or a 1st and, as a reward for this achievement, attended Cambridge University for a graduation ceremony.
